Biomaterial

Design and development of a biomaterial from brewer's spent grain, an agro-industrial byproduct of beer production. The project is based on the principles of the circular economy, transforming this waste into a functional and sustainable resource. Through the combination of spent grain with glycerin and cornstarch, and using dehydration and sublimation processes, a solid and flexible material was obtained, with potential for diverse applications. A charcuterie set was designed using this biomaterial to complement the beer brand that provided the spent grain, thus integrating product, material, and context into a coherent and sustainable offering.
